Stephen Goldman, age 58, beloved husband, brother, uncle and friend, caught the tail of the comet and headed for the cosmos on Wednesday, January 27th, 2010 following a lengthy and difficult struggle with leukemia. Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Rebecca Goldman. He is survived by his wife and soul mate, Cynthy, sister and brother-in-law Joan and Sam Ginsburg of NY, sister Barbara Goldman of Santa Fe, brother Martin Goldman and sister-in-law Margaret Castonguay of Berkeley, CA. He leaves behind nieces Karen, Kara, Sarony, Tricia, Danielle, Lisa, and Susan, and nephews Adam, Cody, Jeremy, Michael and Uri, in addition to several great-nieces and nephews.

Steve graduated from UNM in 1979 with an accounting degree and became a CPA, but his real love was creating great pottery that came to be known as Laughing Goat Pottery. Steve, we will miss your kind and generous heart, your energy (especially when dancing wild polkas with Cynthy), your beautiful soul, the sparkle in your eyes, and especially, that amazing and wonderful laugh, uniquely yours, that endeared you to the many, many people whose lives you touched. Your resonating honesty, fervent belief in outerspace beings, lack of a scintilla of materialism, brilliant mathematical mind and belief in helping anyone who needed it all combined to make your radiating uniqueness unforgettable and ever-lasting.

A celebration of Steve's life took place on Monday, May 31st, 2010 at the Tijeras Open Air Arts Market     View photos.
